Kathmandu, The Government of Nepal has announced public holidays on Sunday (19 Asoj) and Monday (20 Asoj) in response to continuous rainfall across various parts of the country. The decision comes as major highways remain blocked and domestic flights have been suspended, severely affecting transportation and daily life.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, ongoing heavy rainfall has led to landslides, flooding, and road obstructions in multiple regions, prompting the need for precautionary measures. The disruption of air and land travel has also raised safety concerns for the general public.
