Kathmandu, The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has decided to collect outstanding dues from industries and clients using dedicated and trunk electricity lines, giving them a 21-day deadline to clear their payments.

The decision was made during the NEA board meeting held on Friday, Ashoj 10. As per the decision, all outstanding payments must be settled by Kartik 17, according to a public notice issued by NEA on Sunday.

Companies like DishHome and City Express are among those notified to immediately pay their dues.

This move marks the first key decision of Kulman Ghising after taking charge as the interim Minister for Energy, signaling a strong push toward financial accountability within the energy sector.
