Kathmandu, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has announced a bold move to ensure greater transparency and accountability within his party. Addressing the ongoing Central Committee meeting, Prachanda declared that the party will initiate the formation of a Property Investigation Commission and will make the property details of all party leaders public.
Emphasizing a departure from outdated practices, Prachanda called for a new working culture at all levels of the party. He urged all party leaders and office-bearers to bring reform in the management of their families, secretariats, and cadres.
“The old ways won’t work anymore. We must move forward with a new approach and method,” he said.
Prachanda also highlighted the need for transformational change not just in organizational behavior but also in personal lifestyles and cultural practices. He instructed party leaders to submit written suggestions on how to simplify their eating habits, dress styles, and public behavior, with the aim of becoming more relatable and accessible to the people.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, the Maoist Centre’s Central Committee will be converted into a General Convention Organizing Committee, with the goal of conducting internal elections as scheduled.
