Kathmandu, The Government of Nepal has made public 19 decisions taken during the most recent Cabinet meeting held on Thursday.
Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel shared that several major structural changes were approved during the meeting.
According to Minister Kharel, the Cabinet has decided to move the Department of Revenue Investigation and the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, previously under the Prime Minister's Office, to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance. Similarly, the National Investigation Department will now fall under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Among other notable decisions:
Janak Raj Sharma has been appointed to oversee operations as acting chairperson of the Insurance Authority's Board, which is currently vacant.
The resignations of Joint Secretaries Dr. Ram Govinda Aryal and Ramesh Sharma Paudyal have been officially accepted.
These decisions were part of a broader administrative adjustment by the Council of Ministers.
