Kathmandu, Two teenage boys were killed and another critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Dhanusha district on Thursday night. The crash occurred near the Khoksaha bridge in Kamala Municipality-2, when a motorcycle—whose registration number is yet to be identified—lost control, reportedly due to high speed.
According to Dhanusha District Police Office, the deceased have been identified as Amit Yadav (18) and Kush Mishra (16), both residents of Banarjhula, Janaknandini Rural Municipality-5.
Both victims died on the spot.
Another teen, Rahul Mahato (17), who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Janakpur Provincial Hospital, according to police.
The accident took place around 10:30 PM as the teenagers were reportedly on their way to watch a Jhijhiya dance event in Lagma Bazaar, Kamala Municipality-3.
Initial investigations suggest that the motorcycle was moving at a very high speed, which likely caused the crash. Further investigation is ongoing.
