kathmandu, A tragic incident has unfolded in Dahachok, Chandragiri Municipality–1, where a woman was found murdered. According to District Police Office, Kathmandu, the suspect, 32-year-old Saroj Thapa, has been arrested in connection with the case. Thapa, originally from Thapagaun, is accused of killing 68-year-old Pavitra KC, who was residing at her maternal home in Khahare Thapagaun, although her permanent residence was in Chandragiri Municipality–6, Mahadevsthan checkpoint area.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the woman was struck on the head with a piece of firewood, leading to her death. However, the motive behind the crime is yet to be determined. The victim's body has been sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are ongoing.
