Gold Price Hits All-Time High in Nepal,

Tuesday, September 16 2025

Kathmandu, The price of gold in the Nepali market reached an all-time high on Tuesday, soaring to Rs. 217,100 per tola. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, this marks an increase of Rs. 1,900 compared to the previous day.

This is the highest recorded price for gold in Nepal to date. Experts attribute the sharp rise to a combination of factors including global market fluctuations, increased demand, and supply constraints.

Silver prices have also surged, reaching a record high of Rs. 2,595 per tola. The federation confirmed that this is the highest silver price ever recorded in the country.

Market analysts suggest that further volatility in the prices of precious metals may continue due to global economic uncertainties, inflation pressures, and the fluctuating value of the US dollar—all of which directly impact the Nepali market.

The price hike has drawn mixed reactions from consumers. While some see it as a strong investment opportunity, others are concerned about the affordability of gold jewelry for everyday use and are calling for more price stability.
