Gold Price Hits All-Time High, Crosses Rs 203,600 per Tola in Nepal

The price of gold in Nepal continues to soar, setting yet another record. On Sunday, the price of fine gold rose by Rs 3,000 per tola in a single day, reaching Rs 203,600 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations (FENEGOSIDA).

This marks the highest price ever recorded for gold in the Nepali market. Just two days earlier, on Friday, gold had already crossed the Rs 200,000 per tola mark for the first time in history, trading at Rs 200,600 per tola.

The continuous rise has raised concerns among jewelers and customers alike, as it could affect consumer demand ahead of Dashain and Tihar festivals, the peak season for gold sales.

Silver prices have also seen an upward movement in recent weeks, though gold’s record-breaking rise has taken center stage in the bullion market. Traders say if international trends remain the same, the price of gold in Nepal may see further hikes in the coming days.
