Kathmandu, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prakash Ranabhat has resigned from his post. According to a source at the Inspector General of Police (IGP)’s Secretariat, he submitted his resignation on Wednesday morning.

Ranabhat had joined the Nepal Police in 2001 (2058 BS) as an Inspector. He was promoted to SSP in July this year and was serving at the Sudurpaschim Provincial Police Office.

According to a close source, Ranabhat decided to resign as all his family members reside in London and he wished to live together with them. His children, who were studying at Budhanilkantha School in Kathmandu, have now continued their studies in London.
