Kathmandu, After Education Minister Mahavir Pun warned Durga Prasai not to speak without evidence, Durga Prasai responded firmly. Pun had cautioned him for allegedly trying to defame Dr. Sanduk Ruit without proof. Soon after the minister’s warning, Prasai responded with a video, stating that he had not accused anyone recklessly and had only spoken based on evidence. He also said that making baseless accusations is against his principles.

He wrote on his social media, Facebook:
"This morning, I saw that Nepal’s scientist, Dr. Mahabir Pun, posted a status on Facebook giving suggestions and warnings. Brother, I neither have the habit of making accusations nor is it my principle. I have only spoken the truth. Truth may be bitter, but speaking the truth is not wrong. Now the question is—did I speak the truth, or did Sudhan Bhai lie? I hope Brother listens calmly to what Sudhan Bhai himself has said… then the answer will arise in your mind—‘Do we call the truth an accusation, or do we call an accusation the truth?’ What I have spoken has evidence, facts, and proof—therefore, I am confident today as well. I am not against individuals; I am against systems and bad intentions. My words are not against Brother personally, but against injustice and hypocrisy—please do not forget this fact. Brother, your contribution to the nation is great, and I only expect someone like you to judge fairly between truth and falsehood."

Earlier, Pun had warned Durga Prasai not to speak recklessly without proof. He wrote:
"Durga Bhai, if you keep making a scene and accuse hundreds of clean individuals of fabricated faults without solid evidence, in the long run, the loss will not be to others, but to you. If Durga Bhai does not recognize Dr. Sanduk Ruit, a world-renowned eye doctor and social worker, then what else can he know to speak about? Everyone should recognize that this attempt to defame Dr. Sanduk Ruit is truly by Durga Bhai."

Recently, after the formation of the Janajati (or Gen Z-style) government, Durga Prasai has claimed that various ministers and leaders are foreign agents. He has stated that foreigners are manipulating matters and that the nation must be protected.
