Kathmandu, One person was killed in a jeep accident at Danikhet in Marma Rural Municipality-3, Darchula, on Friday morning.

According to local authorities, the jeep with registration number Su.Pa.Pr. 01-001 Jha 1662, en route from Latinath to Sarsi, met with an accident in Danikhet, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Karbir Singh Thagunna.

Marma-3 Ward Chairperson Dhirendra Dhami confirmed the incident and said that Thagunna was found unconscious on the middle seat of the vehicle. Police reported that he died while being taken to a nearby health post after rescue efforts.

Police stated that the driver’s identity and the cause of the accident are yet to be confirmed. Further investigation and a search for the driver are currently underway.
