Kathmandu, The price of gold in Nepal has soared to a record high, reaching Rs. 223,200 per tola on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The price of hallmark gold per 10 grams also rose to Rs. 191,360.
On Friday, the last trading day of the previous week, gold was priced at Rs. 222,500 per tola, indicating a rise of Rs. 700 over the weekend.
Silver prices have also climbed, rising from Rs. 2,740 per tola on Friday to Rs. 2,810 per tola on Sunday, the federation reported.
