Gold and Silver Prices Fall in Nepal Following Global Market Decline

Sunday, October 26 2025

Kathmandu, The decline in international gold and silver prices has had a direct impact on the domestic bullion market in Nepal. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of gold today stands at Rs 241,900 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 3,015 per tola.

Following the Tihar festival, both gold and silver have witnessed a significant drop in value. On Kartik 3, gold was traded at Rs 253,500 per tola, but has since fallen by Rs 11,600 per tola. Similarly, the price of silver has decreased by Rs 265 per tola over the same period.

In the international market, gold is currently trading at USD 4,113 per ounce, while silver stands at USD 48 per ounce, according to international media reports.

Experts suggest that the ongoing global economic uncertainty, the strengthening of the US dollar, and shifts in monetary policies of major central banks have led to volatility in precious metal prices. These global trends are now being reflected in Nepal’s local market as well.
